What are your predictions?
I’m so glad you asked,
For best Film; I’ve only seen gravity and American Hustle (review for the second one will be coming out today), If either of those two films win I will be happy.
Director; my answer is the same.
Leading Actor; Though I have not seen DiCaprio in ‘The Wolf of wall street’ I am to understand that it is an excellent performance. I will hold out and choose Bale for this award as I am hoping for another award to make its way to DiCaprio.
Leading Actress; As good as Bullock was in Gravity, Amy Adams was that tad better I feel.
Supporting Actor; Bradley Cooper, though Damon was excellent Cooper had an intensity that I have not seem him play before to that level.
Supporting Actress – Jennifer Lawerence, I have seen both her films this year and both of them have been excellent.
Outstanding British film; Gravity.
I cannot comment on Outstanding Debut as I have not seen any of these, this applies to the new two categories.
Animated; Despicable me 2 as I love the cast and the minions, its also a rare sight for the whole cinema to be laughing in together.
Original Screenplay- American Hustle, very rare do we do see a script, so fast, so intelligent being used for the larger screen.
The next category I can have my comment on is Costume Design, as American Hustle gets my vote for it’s spot on portrayal of that time.
The last one I shall comment on is special effects. Gravity hands down wins this category for so many reasons.
