Directed by Peter Ramsey, staring Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin, Isla Fisher, Chris Pine and Jude Law. The story follows the birth of Jack Frost into the world where he then tries to find his place, move forward 300 years and Pitch Black is trying to take over the world by masking it in fear.
This is a very charming film, well made and put together with a strong cast. Even though it is designed and aimed for children it still managed to entice me into it, you have the different guardians. The easter bunny played by Jackman, the tooth fairy played by Fisher, Jack Frost played by Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin playing Santa while Jude Law plays Pitch.
For me they are played their parts incredibly well, however Jude Law had something the others different, a new level to how good his voice is. perhaps his theatre training here helped because he brought so else to the film which would not have been the same without him.
It is just a fun film to go and see, nothing to serious but fun for all the family, with some surprisingly good plot. Each palace for each of the guardians if incredibly well put together. However I do have one slight hindrance with the film. Sanata has many little helpers, none of whom can actually speak however in the style they act and interacte with objects and each other is extremely similar to those minions in despicable me, which were very much a highlight of that film. Can not help by think they took a few notes from that book.
OVERALL **** Very sweet charming film, full of fun and angst, brought to you by some very good characters such as Hugh Jackman and Jude Law.
